Twelfth Annual Convention

Kerrville, March 7 and 8, 2009
The Texas Concealed Handgun Association Board of Directors is proud to announce plans for the 12th annual conference, March 7 and 8, 2009 at the YO Ranch Resort, 2033 Sidney Baker, Kerrville, Texas 78028. Call toll free at (877) 967-3767.

Speakers

Texas Representative Joe Driver (R-Garland) has agreed to be one of our guest speakers. Representative Driver successfully pushed the Texas Castle Doctrine through the State Legislature last year and is currently championing the right to conceal carry on Texas colleges.

He will be joined by Larry Pratt, President of the Gun Owners of America from Washington, D.C.

This will be a very important conference and strategic planning session for Texas CHL advocates in light of potential major changes forthcoming from a very anti-gun national agenda.

Banquet

The Saturday evening banquet will include the conference’s Keynote speaker, a special recognition of 10-year members, good food and fellowship, door prizes, raffles and auction items. Don’t miss this once-a-year event.

Registration

Register by February 8, 2009 and pay $60 for the seminar and luncheon only, or $55 for the banquet only. Your best buy is the seminar, luncheon, banquet combo at $80. Sign up for the Saturday morning Fun Shoot for $15.

The YO Ranch Resort has reserved rooms for members at $79 per night. Contact the hotel at (877) 967-3767 before February 8 and tell them you’re with TCHA to reserve your room at this special rate.

Late registration after February 8, 2009; Seminar and luncheon $80 each, banquet only $75 each, seminar-luncheon-banquet combo $100 each. Register early and save.

Membership Meeting

The Association’s Regular Annual Meeting and Board of Directors Elections will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2009 beginning at 8:00 AM at the YO Ranch Resort, 2033 Sidney Baker, Kerrville, Texas 78028. The meeting is open to all Association members at no charge.

All members are encouraged to attend this once-a-year event. Safeguarding our right to keep and bear arms and concealed carry is dependent upon the interest and support of everyday citizens. Fun Shoot

Once again we will hold a Fun Shoot at the Hill Country Shooting Sports Center. Bring your favorite sidearm and plenty of ammo. Be prepared for lots of target and action shooting at this Olympic facility. A holster will be handy, but is not required.

Gun Raffle

This year’s gun raffle features the Taurus Judge. We will sell chances for this .45 Colt/.410 shotgun revolver in the Concealed Handgun newsletter. We will also raffle off several handguns at the conference.

Hospitality Gathering

CHL Protection Plan will be hosting a hospitality/welcome gathering before the banquet on Saturday, March 7 at the hotel. More plans soon. They look forward to seeing you there.
